Just curious...I understand the health benefits behind being Vegan...what's the deal with vegan/organic/etc. lotions, soaps, etc.? What are the benefits behind the shampoos, foot lotions, and soaps such as Dr. Bronners, DESERT ESSENCE???Organic, vegan, wheat, gluten free.......beauty products....?
I suppose the organic part would simply be people not wanting all those chemicals in products that they put on their bodies. Unfortunately, organic doesn't mean much these days.
As far as vegan health and beauty products go, I do not want animals to die for my food, so I certainly feel no need for them to die for my beauty products.

Vegan products mean that there are no animal ingredients, and the vegan label also means that the products were not tested on animals. I think people are confused as to what ';testing'; on animals entails, but I assure you that they are not sitting around washing the bunnies' fur to see how silky-smooth it becomes.
Purchasing vegan products is just another way to extend a person's attempts at living a cruelty-free lifestyle. I used to simply look for products that said ';not tested on animals'; and then one day I accidentally bought a shampoo that had placenta as an ingredient. I cannot (and dare not) imagine what sick people have to do to get an animal's placenta.
After that, I have made sure to buy vegan products.Organic, vegan, wheat, gluten free.......beauty products....?

Pro form beauty products website?
i had my make-up professionally applied and she used pro form beauty products on my skin. im looking for the powder foundation as it looked fantastic. my problem is its an american company and i cant seem to find the website but i know it exists. i may have got the company name slightly wrong but cant even find any similar ones. does anyone know what/who im talking about?Pro form beauty products website?

How about your local homeless shelter, or perhaps a halfway house for people in recovery? Somewhere that women who need to feel good about themselves for important emotional support could appreciate your gifts. In fact, why not check out whether they are allowed to accept such donations (there may be Health Department bureaucrats who will tell you ';no';), and if so, take up a collection among your friends and friends of friends. Most women have things sitting around cluttering up their space that seemed great at the time, but didn't turn out so great in practice. Talk to your waste management company. Things like nail polish are considered hazardous waste and need to be handled differently.
The City you live in should have a hazerdous waste program. Like on certain days of the month or at a specific location. Call and find out. If they can't help you they can give you the number for the local waste collectors to ask if they do.

I've been using it for awhile now %26amp; absolutley love it. I would recommend buying the starter kit for the foundation as you'll get the neccessary brushes (much cheaper).
With the concealer brush, i put it on before I apply the foundation %26amp; you will be surprised how well it covers.

I would recommend going to Sephora and trying it out to see how you like it.
I strongly recommend bareminerals I had trouble finding right colors with the other makeup brands I had been using, and bare minerals matches perfectly. You can mix a couple different colors to get the right one that matches you perfectly. So easy to apply, lasts all day, doesn't make you break out and is so fun!

It takes a little to get used to, but you'll get the hang of it. You can get samples of it for very little on Ebay or buy a kit from their site or QVC. Give it a try, I think you'll like it. BTW: It really doesn't cost very much. It's like 35.00 for the foundation and that's with a professional brush. The little pot of foundation lasts forever because you need very little. Everything of theirs last forever for that matter. Plus the foundation has a built in SPF. You can't go wrong. Good Luck!!

Stila beauty products?
I will buying new makeup soon, but I don't want to buy different products from different brands. I want to have the same brand of everything. I was thinking of getting Stila makeup, but I have never used it before. Is it a good brand? Would you recommend it? If not, which brand do you think is best? Thanks!Stila beauty products?

I've never used them but other blacks do. I usually don't have a problem with trying different hair products unless they specifically say they're not for my hair type or only mention one or two types of hair.
I use Giovanni Direct Leave-in and I love it. I've thought about buying Organix, but I didn't like the ingredients. You'll just have to buy it and see if it works for your hair. Buy it from a store that has a good return policy, like Walgreens, and then if you don't like it you can take it back for a refund.
