Are they safe to use, and will they work? Are the Organix (Beauty Pure and Simple) hair products good for ethnic hair?
I've never used them but other blacks do. I usually don't have a problem with trying different hair products unless they specifically say they're not for my hair type or only mention one or two types of hair.
I use Giovanni Direct Leave-in and I love it. I've thought about buying Organix, but I didn't like the ingredients. You'll just have to buy it and see if it works for your hair. Buy it from a store that has a good return policy, like Walgreens, and then if you don't like it you can take it back for a refund.

Did Jessica Simpson stop making her Dessert Beauty products?
I'm just wondering because I tried to look up her website for it, %26amp; I couldn't be taken there. And a while ago, Sephora was having a BIG sale on her stuff, so, is her brand of beauty products still around or did she get rid of it because of her divorce to Nick Lachey? I think that it's weird that her beauty products website isn't working.Did Jessica Simpson stop making her Dessert Beauty products?
YES she did which is too bad thoughDid Jessica Simpson stop making her Dessert Beauty products?
I have no idea but i would liek to have soem you might need to check at the walgreens stores they ususally carry it.
Shes became a zero without Nick and so did her products!!!
I think they did. The only place I've seen them at is Walgreens, and they were like 60% off. I'm kind of sad because I loved her bubblegum lip treats.
try ebay you may find some there. as i sold one at a loss on there.
yes didn't you hear she isn't even alive anymore because nick lachey killed her ! watch the news
yea, she isn't making the product line any longer....i'm so messed
up over that because i finally found a line i could use and then it has been discontuned.
boo
If you want a role model, then choose someone with a brain.
Their are so many great women past and present..and you are concerned with a pizza spokesperson and how she goes to the toilet.
Follow in the footsteps of Sandra Day O'Connor.
yeah she probably ate them all. LOL

Does smell of beauty product play a crucial role in its sale?
Do some girls tend to buy a beauty product of some particular odor lie some want smell of apple n some want it to be strawberry smell? Is their any particular cosmetic product where they want to have certain smell like in their lipsticks or lipgloss...??? what kind of smell they want to have in their boyfriend's beauty product? Is certain kind of smell is arousing to girls? n what about natural masculine smell???Does smell of beauty product play a crucial role in its sale?
no, I buy what works bestDoes smell of beauty product play a crucial role in its sale?
Wow that's a crap load of questions.
1. Yes girls do tend to buy SOME beauty products with scents/flavors to them. But that's generally just lip products. Gloss and balms.
and I guess that covered your 2nd question too
3. Guys should NOT have scented beauty products. and i don't understand why guys would have any beauty products anyways unless you meant cologne
4. There's no like set smell that ALL girls find attractive because everyone has different tastes
5. Just don't stink and I'm pretty sure girls won't care if you use cologne or not
Only with fragrances (perfume/cologne) or lip gloss!
Most beauty products, nope.
I guess a girl would like a guy with nicely scented (BUT NOT A LOT!) aftershave and deoderant. Just don't drown yourself in it.
yes we do. I particularly like citrus smells and simple herbs like chamomile. and myrrh. for lip stuff no smell.
for guys a really light scent. guys just smell better without all that scented stuff as long as they are clean.
yes absolutly fragrance is a major reason i continue to purchase beauty products no to masculine smells
I think so!
If you're see something with a horrid smell, isn't it obvious that you don't want to get it?

Beauty products made with placenta?
I saw this line of shampoos, conditioners (and I think body wash, and lotions too) that say the brand name (which I can't remember) and PLACENTA. or ';made with placenta.'; What does placenta do for your hair or skin, and is it even safe to use a product made with placenta? I know people eat it sometimes, which is even stranger to me. Just doesn't seem healthy or safe. Is it?Beauty products made with placenta?
I have used the Placenta shampoo before, and I didn't really see any difference in my hair (thankfully, my hair is healthy), except for the fact that it was a little softer. But i did find this on a website.
-------La Bella Placenta Moisturizing Shampoo %26amp; Hair Rejuvenating - Placenta Conditioner offers hair repair from the injurious effects of our environment.
Its pearlescent formula gently cleanses hair while coating each strand in a replenishing bath of proteins that will strengthen and fortify hair against the stripping effects of brushing, teasing, and over drying.
Blended with a special Placenta Enzyme, Vitamin E %26amp; Panthenol, this remarkable shampoo helps repair split ends, restore manageability, and renews shine and bounce.
***It did have a great smell though, and it is extra creamy, works great as shaving cream. It's not made from whole placentas, just the enzymes.***Beauty products made with placenta?
i have no idear
With placenta it must be good for you but used right away not after so much procesing. I guess it will do with any other shampoo. But everyone has to sell their products and must come out with something new. Remember horse shampoo. everyone was buying it like crazy. Thing come and go. The best thing. Just keep your hair clean with the simplest shampoo. and try not to process it much. ANd get every month a haircut.
As long as it's cooked properly, and the person didn't have a disease, it wouldn't really be unhealthy or unsafe to eat. I couldn't do it, though. I just don't see that big a difference between that and flat-out cannibalism.
I have no idea about the beauty products. I wouldn't use 'em.
Stay clear of anything that has placenta in it...those companies get away with putting all kinds of harmful things in their products, so you really have no idea what is in them, or where the ingredients came from. Better to be safe.

Forget all the creams and potions, don't waste your money. There is nothing that will remove stretch marks unless you get them lasered. You can try tanning though, they will be less noticeable.

im just curious about what you're fave. beauty products are. What are you're favorite beauty products?
For me, and being a transvestite, all eye products / make up are my favorites...But by the same token, my entire transformation is most enjoyable, and all products used, and used in the proper ';order'; all are appreciated and loved.
It all takes a while to complete, but this is ';me';, and those who just put on a dress, skirt, sweater etc, and don't use complete make up, etc, are in a way, not a good example of our community and lifestyle. But this again, is strictly my opinion..

Do you spend alot on beauty products?
no, you should like how you already look. Just wear lipstick and a little eye shadow and mascara. It does the trick!!!Do you spend alot on beauty products?
Yes to look good.Do you spend alot on beauty products?
I do buy skin care products such as gentle cleanser, moisturizer/sunscreen, and AHA exfoliater. However, I don't spend ridiculous amounts of money. I invest about 30 dollars for a three months worth on products that I know that are efficient and not expensive. Some cheaper products do the same. You just have to know what to look for. The more money is saved, the more money left for clothes.
not usually.once i find something i like,i stick with it until i find something better or get tired of that look.
YUP.
And now that I'm getting older - I spend more and more on moisturizer, eye cream etc.
Its kind of fun - and all a part of being a girl!!!
used to...now that I can't close my make up drawer...I spend all my money on clothes.
yes, if they are good for me. I have been using Arbonne products for a while now and they are the best thing I have ever used and are reasonable considering they are SWISS. I use to use le mer, caviar line, and Chanel but Arbonne is 10 times better. Go to http://www.ArbonneRGV.myarbonne.com to see the whole line of products go to shop on line. Everything is natural and botanical based.

Is there an Australian beauty product review website?
On www.makeupalley.com, there is a section called ';Product Reviews';, where consumers review their beauty products. I was wondering if there is an Australian site out there for products sold in Australia. Thanks. Is there an Australian beauty product review website?
Hi, I find the easiest ways to get reviews on products is to just enter the product name and then the word 'review' in Google, and check the 'Australian sites only' box and you should get heaps of links to reviews on that product : )

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation
I love it because it is air whipped so when you put it on your skin you cant see it its amazing
it doesnt clog my pores so i dont get pimples
it covers up imperfections
It is long lasting
its cheap
it lasts like a year or more
it matches my skin perfectly compared to others
it is in a tiny jar which fits in my handbag very easily
I dont know what i would do without it, ive been using it every day for the past yearWhat is your favorite beauty product?
You can find very useful tips on http://www.healinginstitute.info Report Abuse
M.A.C StudioFix powder because it goes on perfectly
I love that got 2 be glued hair gel! You can get it at walmart and is a must if you have curly fine hair!
Laura Mercier Flawless Silk Creme Foundation. Because it doesn't feel heavy on my face. It hides my rosacea and spider veins. If I want the ';rosy glow'; in my cheeks to show through, I just don't use as much foundation. It doesn't settle into my lines either.

Does anyone know what beauty product ingrediants are not suppose to be used by people who have had radiation?
My gramma had radiation therapy and chemo on her neck about 7 years ago and she says that she is not suppose to use certain beauty products because of that. Does anyone know if this is true? What ingrediants is she suppose to avoid? Thanks!Does anyone know what beauty product ingrediants are not suppose to be used by people who have had radiation?
I don't know of any you're supposed to avoid long-term. During radiation I was told to avoid any products other than pure aloe vera gel and calendula lotion. Pure mild soaps only. But they ended the restrictions when radiation ended.

Have ur own website, have quality products ,,and a convinceable narration for the quality and effectivity of ur product.
fill ur website with too much content /keywords so that it gets easily by search engines.
But do bother about the quality of ur web content ,page organisation as google(which is the backbone for free visitors) can decrease the ranking or even deindex the website if its not genuine.
Do you mean like selling MLM products? There is Arbonne, I did that for a while, but it requires alot of money out of your pocket to be able to market and send samples to folks. Alot of us just sell to people at our school or church....so many out there doing the same thing.
If you have a sales background, alot of companies like Jan Marini (professional grade products) hire Sales Reps. You would earn commission of course and basically have an area in which to work.
I know cuz I checked into myself, but I could not do the traveling required since I am a momma of 2 boys.
Good Luck to you
I sell Arbonne and you can go to their website and build your own website through Arbonne. I did not do it but sell it on the side and I love it. With any company you start up any free time that you have should go into phone calls and stopping into see people and meeting them and telling them about the product. If you have any questions you are welcome to email me.auto financing

What is your favorite low cost beauty product?
I am looking for soaps and shampoos also. What is your favorite low cost beauty product?
Suave deffinetly. What is your favorite low cost beauty product?
Honestly I don't use cheap shampoos because they are full of detergents and strip hair color. My favorite is Joico K-pak shampoo and conditioner!!! Also I love Kenra styling products.
I use Herbal Essences, Pantene, Garnier Frutise, etc
my favorite shampoo would definately have to be garnier frutise. this is the only one that isn't a murder to my hair. the other ones dry my hair out unfortunately..
Pantene is a winner in my book. They have great hair products and have been good at what they do for years; recently adding more and more products to their line! Most of there stuff is in the 2.99 and up range, but many times you can get shampoos/conditioners/styling products, etc. on sale at drugstores, etc.
For cosmetics, I love L'Oreal products because they are affordable and deliver good results!!

Do you ';trust'; natural beauty products?
By which I mean, do you believe all natural, chemical free products to work as effectively as well-known, chemical-laden brands?Do you ';trust'; natural beauty products?
Natural products contain chemicals as well as the types that are acknowledged as chemical-free. I am not sure whether I would necessarily believe that a product is perfectly free of chemical additives if it is purchased in a store. The item could be misrepresented. Assuming that it is all natural and chemical-free, I would say that yes, for the most part it would work as effectively. How it is applied, and how much is used at a time can make a difference. Consumers can lose a lot in overkill.

Hi, Iwas wondering if anyone knew any recipes to make your own cosmetics such as hair treatments as I am growing my hair back and want to make sure it stays healthy it grows longer, also moisterisers face masks etc??Anyone know any home made natural beauty product recipes?
Fruity Hair Treatment
This fresh fruit treatment is good for treating hair that has been damaged by excessive blow drying. It's also helpful to eliminate dandruff.
Ingredients:
juice of 2 oranges
flesh from 1/2 peeled apple
1/2 banana
1 tablespoon fresh thyme
Blending Procedure:
1.) Blend all ingredients together in a food processor or blender until a juice is formed. Bits of fruit will be visible throughout.
2.) Massage generously onto damp hair and scalp. Leave on for 20 minutes. You can wrap hair in a hot towel during this time to help penetration.
3.) Rinse out and wash and condition hair using a gentle shampoo and conditioner. If little pieces of fruit are visible in your hair afterward, use a fine comb to remove. Style hair as usual.

well for hair, trim it and massage ur scalp with olive oil to get the blood circulation going in ur head this will help it grow, and for face to make my face nice and soft i like to use a homemade facial scrub mix 1 big spoon of thick honey some sugar and a little water scrub the face then with warm water rince and ur face will feel fresh, another way to help acne is steam ur face with water in a pot and while steaming rub half a tomatoe on ur face in circular motions, it whitens the skin, refreshens it, smooths it, and i noticed my light acne goes away the next day my face looks amazing i like to use this at night

For normal hair
4 tbsp. olive oil

2 tsp. cocoa butter
1 tbsp. dried lavender flowers
1 tbsp. dried nettle leaves
1 tbsp. raw apple-cider vinegar
1 egg yolk (at room temperature)

The components found in nettle leaves and lavender flowers help strengthen and condition damaged hair. The essential oil squeezed from the lemon peel stimulates circulation, conditions the surface of the hair and adds a refreshing scent.

Can't say these are home-made, but... for your hair try coconut milk (available at any grocery stores in the aisle where you get the Mexican/Asian stuff). Once-a-week, apply and leave it on your hair for about 30 minutes and then shampoo as usual. Facial mask? I like mashed avocado - it moisturizes my skin big time! To exfoliate my legs/feet, I combine brown sugar, mineral oil and my shower gel (Olay); scrubby dub dub and voila!!!

The process for glowing skin is as follows:
1) Take a kg of each of bael tree leaves, black plum leaves and betal leaves. Clean them properly and boil them in water that is twice the volume till there is a thick liquid.
2) Beat 8-10 cloves and then add about 25 lemon peels dried in the sun, acacia sinnata, 2 tbsps of tur daal and a pod of an inch of turmeric. Make a fine powder of all these ingredients.
3) Make sandalwood paste by grinding it on the grinding stone and adding very small quantity of water.
4) Mix the powder and sandalwood paste properly and add to the cold liquid.

You can check the source for different recipes for hair or face, it has almost everything. Just pick something which suits you the best!

Can i use beauty products while i'm pregnant?
beauty products like ponds, olay or something? coz i'm a acne prone skin. thanks a lot....Can i use beauty products while i'm pregnant?
i wouldn't think so, but i would ask a doctor just to make sure. gud luck =]]Can i use beauty products while i'm pregnant?
well whatever gets absorbed into your skin goes around your body so its up to you but people who are pregnant generally wear makeup which is probably alot worse but keep washing your face to keep acne away
x
It is very important that you don't use any prescription medicines for acne, especially Acutane. These can cause major birth defects. It is also important not to use any dentist's grade teeth whiteners.
All other beauty products purchased over the counter should be fine to use.auto financing

Premature aging: i no there's anti aging and beauty products but is there anything you can do about lines &
wrinkles that have already formed? i have tanned skin and dark lines are starting to spread and become more prominant under my eyes, deep line from corner of my eye spreading toward cheekbone.

Ok most major skin damage occurs from over tanning... or excessive sun exposure.
Yeah this means that to much sun light will make you age faster and damage you skin permanently.
Then you have genetics... some people just wrinkle earlier than others... some creams do help a small bit but unfortunately you can't turn back the hands of time.
Also take Katie d's advice start with the sun screen man..
Go see you Doctor, they will have the best info on what you could do.
Microdermabrasion and/or peels are probably a good option for you. The attached site has more info.
You can go to the dermatologist and get advice. But a chemical peel might help if the lines are not too deep. Then from here out you will have to stop with the tanning. wear real sun screen and always wear it on your face 15 or higher maybe 30. that is what is helping you age. good luck.

What is your favorite beauty product you've ever used, and why?
Shampoo, lotion, face wash, makeup, hair tools... anything! What's your favorite and why? Everyone that answers will get a thumbs up, and we'll all learn about some good products without wasting money trying things that don't work.
Also include products you DIDN'T like if you want. Also good to know! What is your favorite beauty product you've ever used, and why?
Well my favorites are:
Bath and Body Works Antibacterial Hand Lotion---makes my hands soft and kills germs at the same time! My favorite scent is sea island cotton!
Garnier Shine Spray Thingy--I forget exactly what it's called, but it makes my hair super shiny and sleek.
Loreal HIP cream eyeliner--I have it in the purple color and it's great!
Queene Helene Mint Julep Masque--Makes my pores small and face smooth. Love it BUT it's extremely minty and sometimes over-tingly, I don't recommend for dry or tight skin.
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse--I use it as concealer on blemishes and under eyes only because it has thick coverage. I don't recommend it for dry skin because it makes the dry spots on my face in the winter look flaky and chalky.
What I don't like:
Maybelline Great Lash mascara. It's so overhyped. It smudges everywhere and its weird wet consistency made my lashes feel really heavy. What is your favorite beauty product you've ever used, and why?
eyeshadow primer -- URBAN DECAY PRIMER POTIONN its bomb because it helps eyeshadow stay with no smudging, no flaking, no nothing until the moment you remove your eye makeup.
best lotion -- bath%26amp;body works b/c it smells so nice ++ the moisturizing side of it works so well!
as well as The Body Shop's Body Scrubs -- moisturizing stuff never wears off! very longwearing .
Face wash -- Philosophy Purity Cleanser %26gt; been using it since tiiiiiiime and it removes acne ! just depends on how stubborn your acne is to disappear. ahah
:)
FLIRT! eyeliner and dreamy eyes powder eyeshadow are amazing. the eyeliner in ';brownie points'; with the shadow in ';witchy'; makes a great neutral look for me. clean and clear deep action foaming facial wash and the dual action mosturizer too.
i dislike proactiv. it's too hyped up. it works, but it's too harsh on skin sometimes.
I cannot live without TWEEZERS !!! Tweezers are a remarkable instrument as long as they are paired with a magnifying mirror. I use them both everyday, i can't live without the tweezers though, they get to all the important places.
Well I used Bio-Oil to minimize the appearance of acne scars and it really works. I like the way it makes my skin soft too.

What is the BEST beauty product you use?
say what the product is used for (or what it is).
and your commentary on it! this is where you babble on and on about your holy grail or something.
or..maybe even the WORST you've tried if you aren't really loving anything right now.
and to answer my personal question..: can you recommend a good toner for me?What is the BEST beauty product you use?
I've used just plain regular witch hazel as a toner. Other, more expensive products dry out my skin or are too oily. Witch hazel is perfect--for me it's ';the best'; : )What is the BEST beauty product you use?
Mary Kay's Microdermabrasion is fabulous! I'm relatively new to the product. I've been using it three months and the results are to die for. My skin looks so much smoother, my pores look smaller, and I feel more confident. It's a two step set that only costs $55! Very comparable to what you would find in a doctors visit without the harsh tools they use and without the huge $$$$ bill. Great investment in your beauty stash! My lady is MaryKay.com/AshleyWalkup if you don't have a consultant.
My fav facial product is something new I've tried its all organic its called Yes to Tomatoes. You can buy it at drugstores it balances the PH balance of the skin and contains antioxidants. I don't think you'll need a toner after you try but sephora has the best if you really want one.

Pond's cold cream to take off eye make up, and Maybelline Lash Discovery Mascara - they are cheap, but they work very well.

The only thing I make sure I have in stock for beauty is Oil of Olay's complete daily moisturizer. I totally love it - and it is one of the few products they have that has ingredients I can feel good about use.

Baby Wipes with Aloe, I use them to take off eye makeup quickly especially when I get 'raccoon eyes'.

What's the one make-up/beauty product that you're really glad you found?
Please not loads of answers saying ';My GHD straighteners';...!
For me, it's probably 'Boi-ing' concealer by Benefit. On the box it says 'Industrial strength concealer' and it certainly seems to be, plus I only need to use a little bit so it lasts ages.

What is the best multi purpose beauty product?
Like the ones you can use for eyes, lips, and cheeks. Or what make-up do you use other than its original purpose? (ex. Using bronzer as an eyeshadow)What is the best multi purpose beauty product?
i use bare minerals by bare escentuals, most of their products are multi tasking; i use the foundation to spot conceal, all shadows, glimmers, blushes, all over face colors, etc. can be used for any purpose. i like to dip lipbalm in blush, to use as lipgloss, or wet eyeshadows to use as liner, everything can be mixed, and layered for a beautiful, unique effect. What is the best multi purpose beauty product?
Vaseline
THE BODY SHOP LIP AND CHEEK STAIN..It is available in many colours..i use a pearly bronze one...it works as a smooth blush, almost naturally sun-kissed and works well on the lips too....
L'oreal illuminating powder..used anywhere for a brilliant shine face, eyes, body etc...
I wouldn't put something on my lips then put the same thing on my eyes. Each make up has a purpose for that type of skin in that area of your face.....
umm..thats a good question...i cant wait to see what everyone puts...woohoo! make up tips!
Benefit Benetint: it can be used as blush and lip stain. i sometimes use blush as eyeshadow, sometimes i mix vaseline ans eyeshow to make a pretty lipgloss

Beauty products for oily/ blackhead skin?
hia x
my skin is oily with blackheads and red marks here and there on my face. can anyone suggest a face scrub/ face mask/ make-up thats oil free or something. that could help alot. im 13 and live in england if that helps x COMMENT!Beauty products for oily/ blackhead skin?
i would probably say neurtogena Oil-Free acne wash but i dun know if theyy sell it there in England.Beauty products for oily/ blackhead skin?
i don't know if they have it in england, but it is called mint julep face mask by queen helene. its great for blackheads, it really works and is only 4 dollars. they sell it in sally beauty supply, but i'm not sure if they have that in england. if you have the generic brands like clearasil, neutrogena, etc., they have tons of products for oily skin. it doesn't matter what you choose, but get something for oily skin, something with oil in it, and always a cream cleanser. and if you don't have acne, don't use something with acne helping ingredients. my siblings used tea tree oil and it works too.
when you have oily skin, it doesn't have to be oil free
good luck!

How do I patent a beauty product I made? Also, is patent the right word?
The first thing you should do is document your idea (ie. write it down). And not just a sentence or two. You should write a reasonably detailed patent disclosure. It doesn鈥檛 need to be a novel, but take some time to think through some of the details, including how your device is made. Ideally, this is done in a bound notebook with pre-number pages which are available in any office supply or stationary store. The written description should enable someone with expertise in the field, to make and use your product. Every time you work on your device, note it in your notebook, with dates. Update your notebook with new entries relating to any new developments, analyses, tests, results and descriptions of prototypes. Have at least one independent party witness your notebook entries with their signature and date.
Before you spend the considerable cost (typically 5 to 10 thousand $) for a patent application by an attorney, you should search to see what other patents already exist. You can do some searching yourself for free at the USPTO search site: http://www.uspto.gov/patft/index.html
If you find searching difficult or confusing, you can pay a patent attorney or agent to conduct a search, but that may cost several hundred to a few thousand depending on the area of your invention.
When you are ready to file a patent application, you may want to file a provisional patent application with the U.S. Patent %26amp; Trademark Office (www.uspto.gov). The provisional application fee is only around $100. The provisional application will give you 1 year before you need to file a full application. So, it doesn't replace the application, just delays the expense of a full application. It is important that you prepare the application in the proper way and with good attention to detail. There is a good book; ';Patent it yourself'; by Pressman.
The name of your product can be protected by filing a Trademark application. You can do that yourself on the USPTO website. Again, you should search first to see if someone already has the name for a beauty product. If there is anything close, you may need talk with an trademark attorney.
How do I patent a beauty product I made? Also, is patent the right word?
You would have to file an application with the Patent Office. This is a non-trivial exercise and you should have the advice of good patent counsel up front in the design of the patent claims. I suspect you are more likely seeking a copyright on the name, trade dress, etc. of your product. Copyrights are much easier to obtain and file. How do I patent a beauty product I made? Also, is patent the right word?
There are rules and limitations which govern what is patentable and what isn't, but if you're an American then the relevant body is the US Patent and Trademarks Office at http://www.uspto.gov

Are women's beauty products overrated?
I know every girl wants to look her best, but doesn't it seem like we are spending too much time and energy putting on a face for other people to see. I used to not go in public without my face being on, but now I have 4 kids and don't have time for all that. Does makeup really matter? (I do wear it occasionally when going to nice dinner or out to a nice occasion.)Are women's beauty products overrated?
yes most of the beauty products are overrated and overpricedAre women's beauty products overrated?
It depends on how you feel about your appearance. I don't wear a lot of makeup and I like a natural look, but I feel it makes a difference.
In the superficial world we live, to most yes it does.
whenever something new comes out i try it, and everytime i am unhappy with them. i'd prefer to go out without anything on. well, i do have to say that i love my lipgloss though. one thing i can't live without, mostly because its dry where i live, but also cause i like shiny lips.....lol
Unfortunately today - we're judged on appearances alone before anyone even knows us. It's frustrating living in such a superficial world and I feel like as time goes on, it will probably never lessen. I'm not quite to the mom-stage of my life, but I feel that when I do get there, I'll be feeling the same as you do. You just have priorities...and that leaves little time for any girl to get dolled up.
I don't think it makes that big of a difference but I'm sure to alot of women out there it's a big part of their routine.
Yes, and they can be very dangerous to you as well, because most of them are full of Toxins. This is one reason, I think that so many women are getting cancers and other health conditions because of the over-use of beauty products that are full of toxins that are left on the skin, scalp, and hair and are absorbed directly into the body causing all kind of health emotional problems. I recently read that we should not put anything on our skin that we would not put in our mouths. Well, most of us would never eat or taste of the many beauty products that we are using on ourselves, because of the long list of chemicals (Toxins) in them. See the book, ';The Cure For All Diseases,'; by Dr. Hulda R. Clark, Ph.D.,N.D. and the link below.
%26gt;...and overpriced, too%26lt;
yes i think it is overrated because women should not have to put on a lot of make up to look nice people should just accept them for who they are and if they cant then they are not worth talking to.
i definitly think so,i do foundation and run with all my kids

Name ONE beauty product that really makes a difference?
Name one beauty product that actually does what it's meant to and that you always use! I'm interested in items available in the UK.
Which is the one product you'd buy if you could only get one?Name ONE beauty product that really makes a difference?
i'd say mascara Dior Show from Dior, it really makes your eyelashes look gorgeos, and i also love body lotions from Eves Rocher (the ones which goes in diff fruit flavours)
good luckName ONE beauty product that really makes a difference?
Clarisonic Skincare brush. I finally don't have to fight clogged skin all the time! :) Can't live without it.
Aveeno Positively Radiant cleansing scrubbers..
these things are amazing.
honestly.
my skin is so soft..and you can literally notice a difference in that it scrubs the dead skin right off..leaving your skin more radiant.
I would choose the Proactiv kit. It is wonderful at keeping your face clear of any blemishes and your skin healthy. Anyone can get it, all you need to do is go to www.proactiv.com.
Vitamin E cleansing lotion from Body shop. I would swear on it !
Aloe Vera! Yep, just plain aloe vera. It makes an awesome hair conditioner - it leaves my hair so shiny and soft! It is especially nice if I mix it with lemon juice (the cheap bottled stuff from the grocery store is fine). Lemon juice removes residues that can make hair dull and lifeless - and it leaves your hair smelling great! Aloe Vera also makes a great as a shaving cream or skin moisturizer, and will help heal just about any skin problem.
You can buy aloe vera juice or gel at any health food store fairly cheap. You can also buy some sort of aloe vera just about anywhere but it might have a lot of crap added to it and the pure stuff is best.
Anna Sui Liquid Concealer.
It's saved my face countless times.
(o:
Proactive.
My cheek/lip stain. I couldn't live without this!
Sugababy make a good one, as do Revlon with the new Limited Edition range

Favorite expensive/cheap beauty products?
I always like to mix it up, and love my Revlon just as much as my Mac. Anyone think Mac is overrated?Favorite expensive/cheap beauty products?
I think MAC is overrated...their stuff isn't terrible, but I have found other brands that do as well (or better). I especially did not like their foundations- way too cakey and heavy in texture.
My faves:
Chanel Teint Innocence foundation
TooFaced lash Injection mascara/Diorshow Blackout
Chanel Glossimer
NARS blushes, especially Orgasm, Lovejoy and Albatross
Chanel Poudre Universelle
Stila lip glazes/convertible color
Sacha eyeshadows
Revlon lip glosses
Bare Escentuals primer
...still searching for the perfect concealer....Favorite expensive/cheap beauty products?
depends on what u buy i guess. i bought a MAC loose powder for less than 20 bucks...i was surprised. i thought it would be more expensive. some products like foundation n powder u really can't save $$ on them. others like lipstick n blush, u can kinda get away with some cheaper brands...sucks to be girls...but remembers...many times its not so much abt the brands...it may be a $5 product but works best on you...
mac is very very expensive, but its so great that i think it's worth having a few more high scale products to just use occasionally for those couple special nights. but i love my cheaper brands for more day-to-day usage.
MAC, covergirl, revuon, ...and CVS stuff are always cheap but great!
Don;t buy weird makeup from places like claires and stuff.
And no, mac is not overrated. I like it..
=)
I love my MAC but yes sometimes i do think its overated.. the make up i get is called Quo and i like it a lot and i think works just as well as mac
Avon is awesome, comparable products with great prices.
Yeah. I do. My favorite is Bee Luscious but hey I do use the occasional drugstore makeup.

Chemicals in beauty products?
Is anyone else bothered by all the chemicals in beauty products that are supposed to be linked with health problems? Does anyone know of a website with more info?Chemicals in beauty products?
I'm so glad someone has asked this question as I am very bothered by it. It's more than obvious that the chemicals in mainstream beauty products everywhere are causing cancer and are the reason it is rising all the time. Take deodorant for example and think of what it's doing. Not only is it full of chemicals which are being absorbed into the skin, but it is forcing the natural perspiration to stay inside the body, clogging up inside for years on end which must lead to cancerous cells in the armpit and the breast. Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in women and although every woman uses different products, almost everyone wears deodorant.
The other thing that convinces me that beauty products play a huge role in cancer is that when you look back a few hundred years ago, no one really got cancer then and that was before all these beauty products were even invented. Only natural substances would have been absorbed into people's skin at that time so I think the link between today's chemicals and the soaring rates of cancer makes more sense than any other cause.
I have recently stopped using anti-perspirant deodorant and have switched to a natural deodorant, but I luckily don't really use body creams, fake tans, sprays, etc and only wear makeup on my face with a natural moisturiser. Thanks for making other people aware of this issue with your question and I'll be interested to see the answers for further thoughts and information.Chemicals in beauty products?
I really dont care cause the make up i ware is made be my Designer Paul so its all natural
I am a nutrionist and naturalist. If you want to know what makeup is good for you and works great, is ORIGINS, ( I live in Orange County and there is one in the south coast Plaza, but if you dont have one near you, try ebay, its cheap and they have everything on there, its a good way to try it or the origins website...www.origins.com) its all natural and most is organic. No parabens or sulfates, which cause cancer. Almost all lotions and cleanser and makeup contain parabens, go ahead and take a look at your beauty products. you will find methyl or ethyl or propyl or some type of paraben, they all cause cancer and are bad for your skin. add sulfates and that makes it worse. Origins is all natural and is good for you to, containing essential oils and vitamin and anti-oxidant rich ingrediants.I have sensitive skin and origins doesnt bother me. Do not use mineral powder like bare escentuals, believe me its not bare, it also has parabens in it. I am not a representative or anything for Origins, just a very happy customer who will never go to sephora or mac or anywhere else for my makeup again. They have cleansers, makeup and lotions for all types of skin, even combination. I use checks and balances since I have really dry skin except for my chin which is oily, this cleanser is for both, its awesome. I also do some modeling, and I use origins as my makeup for that too. Origins also has a great skin brightener that makes my face look alive and smooth without looking greasy. I Would also try a whole foods store like mothers or henrys or wild oats depending on where you live if you dont like origins, most whole foods and holistic places sell organic makeups. Just make sure you read the ingredients and dont buy anything with sulfates or parabens.
To find out more about origins you can look on there website at origins.com or search on the net about parabens being in beauty products and it will tell you more about chemicals in makeup and beauty products.
My advice is dont buy from the high street chemist. Instead buy products based on plant ingredients and natural oils. I can recommend Liz Earle, Elemis and Decleor all excellent and I have used them all for around 10 years. Check out the QVC website if you want to buy. This also applies to shampoo ranges, high street stuff is full of rubbish........try MOP organic or Aveda, youll notice a difference in your hair too!auto financing

This also applies to shampoo ranges, high street stuff is full of rubbish........try MOP organic or Aveda, youll notice a difference in your hair too!
Organic/natural beauty products?
im looking to use more natural beauty products as im concerned about the chemicals in the ones im currently using has anyone tried any? opinions are appriciated! im looking for skincare and hair care but all product reccomendations are appriciated.
thankyouOrganic/natural beauty products?
these ideas i have written are brilliant i would recommend all of them! (apart from the parts ive said dont do!)
lemon juice gives you highlights but if you use too much your hair goes like straw so you have to use conditioner as well! also dont go swimming for a few days other wise youll end up with green hair!
camomile is also great for blonde hair! add a spoonful of honey to a cup of camomile tea let it cool and use it as a rinse!
a small cup of coffee can add depth and shine to brunette or darker hair! dont use instant if you can help it use leftover cafetiere coffe or espresso if you can get your hands on it! let the coffee cool and pour it in your hair leave it in for 10 mins then rinse it out!
for russet tones use a cup of tosehip tea as a rinse!
Henna is great for putting in red tones! easy to use just mix it into a paste leave in hair for a couple of hours then wash if off!
I doubt you will, but NEVER be tempted to dye with food dye! at the first hint of rain the colour will pour down your face! not a good look!
skin care:
you can make your own lip balm/lip gloss
add a teaspoon of olive oil and salt or sugar (depending on your taste) and use on lips! you'll be surprised on what it can do!
camomile tea bags are great for soothing tired or puffy eyes!
soak the teabags in cold water then place over eyes for 10-15 minutes!
ice cold cucumber brightens the whites of your eyes!
use them for 10-15 minutes!
home made facial scrubs:
1. mash up 2 strawberries wtih a teaspoon of brown sugar. use all over face then rise off.
2. mix 1 teaspoon of honey, half a teaspoon lemon juice and 2 teaspoons of fine oatmeal (porridge oats)
use all over face then wash off with warm water.
home made face masks:
mashed banana, leave on for 10 minutes then wash off
or mashed avocado with a little honey
for the full spa effect use cucumber slices, or cotton pads in water or cool weak tea DO NOT USE PG TIPS otherwise you will look like a panda
steaming:
over a hot bowl of steaming water place your head with a towwl over to trap all the steam and breathe in and out for 5 minutes then splash your face with cold water this closes the pores!
this method works wondersfor black heads and spots!
yummy scrubby on my tummy body scrub:
5 tablespoons of sunflowre oil and 4 tablespoons of soft brown sugar and add one heapd teaspoon of cocoa (NOT the drinkking type it must be the ral thing!) mix thoroughly and use over you body (best in the shower because quite runny) wash it off with you favourite soap of body wash and your skin will feel like velvet!
sugar and lime body scrub:
5 tablespoons of olive oilwith 4 tablespoons of caster sugar and add 5 drops of lime essential oil (please be careful with essential oils they're very concentrated so never use more than reccomended!) this is a lovely invigorating scrub!
I have used everything i know and reccomend in what ive written so i really hope it helps!Organic/natural beauty products?
henna for hair.milk/cucumber for face.lemon for skin and cotton dress for wear and many more, appreciate your choice
try aveda, everything is natural and they are very good

there are websites on how to make your own. i use things like cider vinegar, greek yoghurt, oatmeal, almond oil and herb extracts and i make all my own beauty products with fantastic results. it's all on the web, do some research, try a few things and work out what's best for your skin. I even make my own shampoos and conditioners.
my favorite is Alba it works sooo well.
Superdrug has a new range out. It's natural and is called vitamin. I use this and think it's brill.Cheap as well

What is the greatest beauty product you've ever used?
Mine would have to be mascara, my lashes are already long, but i like them to have that dramatic dark feeling to them, you know? What is the greatest beauty product you've ever used?
clear lip gloss i have very full lips so when i add lip gloss its so sexy just very eye catchingWhat is the greatest beauty product you've ever used?
Well my fave is either mascara or eyeshadow, I have pretty big eyes, and my lashes are long but when I have mascara on, my lashes reach my brows.
lip gloss and powder.
La Colors Lip Gloss !
I would have to say I like eye shadow, because of all the different colors. There's so much variety!
I'd have to say it's the orange nailpolish, although eyeliner is really peachy.

What is the one beauty product that you can't live without?
If you have two, go ahead and name them! :) My favorite product is Clinique's Naturally Glossy Mascara in black. It's truly the only mascara I've ever found that doesn't clump. And I've tried bunches. What is the one beauty product that you can't live without?
Benefit Benetint. It makes my very fair skin look alive. What is the one beauty product that you can't live without?
hairspray and perfum
Perfume's i have like 50, and Smashbox Photofinish Primer it makes your skin really matte, and soft without using foundation or coverup. Oh ya and Too Faced Lip Injection lip gloss it's expensive but works really nice
concealer and lip gloss!
My cover girl mascara and my Orlane foundation,Love them both.My beauty secret, oooops I just told on myslef....
My Benefit slant brush %26amp; my Dior blusher!
Ditto on the Naturally Glossy. It is a great mascara and the only one I use.
The other would be a MAC Paint Pot in ';Painterly';--it makes a nice canvas for application and retention of eyeshadow. I've heard great things about Urban Decay Primer Potion, but the MAC works just great for me.
Bee-Luscious Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation and Liquid Lustre!!!!!
If shampoo caounts it would by mo Vo.5 i love it
I couldn't live without Effaclar foaming cleanser. Prevents blemishes, tones out my skin %26amp; keeps it from getting dry.
Murad skin care system: the answer to clear skin. My god :)
definitely eyeliner
eyeliner
cover girl mascara. i have really pale eyelashes so i need it =]
It is soooooooo hard just to choose one. but anyways..............my favy is big fatty by urban decay is the bomb because it washes off easily, makes my lashes super super long, and it don't clump or make you raccoon.
Aveda daily Moisturizer, Mac lipgloss
eyeliner
Sunsilk : ]
i love it so much
BioSilk for my hair, and I looooove bare minerals for foundation. My skin actually glows when I use it!
Mary Kay's foundation.
13 and eyeliner and mascara. i wish i could say lipgloss lol i luvvv that 2!
foundation in general for sure! i think that having great looking skin is the #1 thing to making you look better. it, evens out your skin tone, covers up thing you don't want others to notice and can double up as a concealer.
I could not live without my straightener. I love my straightener. I got it from Sally's and it's made by jibere. I works so well. It is expensive but worth it. My hair is usually really wavy, and frizzy. After using it, it is completely straight, and silky smooth. I could not live a day without it!

What kind of beauty product can remove and cover pimple scars?
or any other scars in the body that can also be used in the face? can i buy it here in the philippines? thank you! :)What kind of beauty product can remove and cover pimple scars?
idk about you, but when my girlfriend wants to remove scars, i use the tip of a snow shovel. i always make sure its an old one, so that way the edges aren't as smooth anymore and are ridged, to provide a more effective cut :)What kind of beauty product can remove and cover pimple scars?
1. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser. Don't scrub, wash. Scrubbing will do no good. Use skin toner if you have oily skin, and after you've done that, apply some moisturizer. If you still have some pimples, sanitize them with alchohol and then apply some tea tree oil to help heal the acne.
2. Create a nice base. Apply some tinted moisturizer in a color that matches your skintone. Blend into neck and hairline and make sure it matches your neck and face color. This is really sheer and gives a nice base, and you can't go wrong or have your face look cakey like foundation or concealer can. No dried in concealer for you! MAC and Clinique make some really nice ones, and they last a long time.
3. Conceal, Set and Forget Using either loose powder or pressed powder, use a large powder brush and swirl in some powder. This will set your tinted moisturizer and will work as a very nice concealing powder. Physicians Formula Loose Mineral Powder and MAC Studio Fix are great options. The Physicians Formula one also comes with a brush that works like a concealer brush.
Other option: Try using tinted moisturizer and liquid foundation. They are the big thing now for they cleverly conceal scars from old blemishes well and the result-sheer and very natural looking. You don鈥檛 need a brush too to apply it. No fuss at all.auto financing

I'm obsessed with beauty products: hair, lotion, shower gel, all that.?
How ca I not be? Please help, and thanks in advance!I'm obsessed with beauty products: hair, lotion, shower gel, all that.?
my mom is addicted to lotions and shower gels and perfumes and stuff...so yeah. our bathroom is always cluttered with half used or not even touched bottles of crap. it's so annoying. Frankly, start with throwing away everything you haven't used in over 3 months. I can reassure you, you probably wont use it again if you haven't even touched it in 90 days. This should get rid of a good portion of what you have. Then, make a promise to yourself to not buy a lotion/shower gel/etc until a bottle of something you already have has run out. This'll help keep you from buying stuff on impulse and cluttering up your entire bathroom. It's great to smell like something good, like vanilla, or cherry blossom, or lily of the valley, but, to have like 50 different scents is redic.
good luck! it's a hard addiction to overcomeI'm obsessed with beauty products: hair, lotion, shower gel, all that.?
It's ok to be obsessed with that kind of stuff because frankly so am I haha. But if you want to cut back just stop buying that kind of stuff and stay away from places where you'll be tempted to buy them. Try to finish the ones you already have and once you're done with them by only one or two of each (1 or 2 lotions, 1or 2 shower gels, etc) and don't buy any more until you have finished the once you just got... hope I helped
its because mostly women want to feel pretty, so the try to find beauty products that make them feel, look, and smell beautiful...... you should look to the beauty with in your self and try to be more natural with your look, don't get me wrong you can still use beauty products, just don't tip it over board!
Consider for a minute how much you are spending on these products. Multiply it by 12 and then you'll be shocked at how much money you are spending each year. Instead put your money in a savings account or other financial vehicle. You'll be sitting real pretty.
o sweetheart, i am the same way! you will grow out of it... i am a lifeguard and when i would get my paycheck i would usually spend it on those things! i gave my money to my mum to keep or hid it... you can deposit it er something:P
good luck!
Lol me too. I used to go to Sephora and Bath %26amp; Body almost everyday. Lately ive been keeping myself occupied and tryna tell myself im wasting moneyand I need to prepare for emergencies. It helps.
Who cares if u r! I am 2 and its fine plus its better u always smell good not like ppl that smell nasty that dont were lotion etc.
Take some mud and put it all over your hair. That would make you sexy.
Yes, it sure is fun to be a girl!
so am i gurl!!!

not much a lipstick with a night mask will last for a long time.
about $20. I go through beauty products like nothing else and I'm constantly having to replace everything.
facial cleanser: $40
liquid eyeliner: $6
mascara:$ 7
I only need to buy this stuff once every two or three months
(I refuse to skimp on my facial cleanser, it is Dermologica and I looooove it!)
this is going to be very sad, but $5 or less.
to tell you the truth, i dont buy much make up at all... and well so not that often the most i wear is eye shadow and mascara and eye liner and lip gloss and sometimes with a bit of color, and face powder so... yaGirls..about how much a week do you spend on beauty products?

What is your favourite bargain beauty product?
I love Boots cucumber moisturiser. It's 拢2. I sometimes buy the fancy stuff for 拢35 with blind faith in it's ability to prevent wrinkles, but nothing ever makes my skin feel better than the Boots cucumber.
Also St Ives Apricot Scrub. Reently picked some of this up as I couldn't afford to replace my Clinique- and I think it might be better.
I'm also a big fan of Collection 2000 eyeshadow.
So please spread the word- what great bargain products have you found? What is your favourite bargain beauty product?
collection 2000 conceler the light reflecting stick pen, just as good as touch e clate for coverage and only 4.99!! bargain!!What is your favourite bargain beauty product?

Check out eyeslipsface.com. Everything is a $1!
The best ever product that I've found is Boot's ';Perfect and Repair'; serum. Brilliant price, and a brilliant result. Their ';Rewind'; serum has the same active ingredient, but it's more highly concentrated. It's also a bit more expensive. In my opinion, Perfect and Repair works better than anything else on the market at the moment.
i spend a bit more on stuff like cleansers, cos i dont want them to strip my skins with shitty chemicals, but never really more than 15 quid!
17 eyeshadows are UNBEATABLE!! so many colours, they dont crease and last for ages. i think like 2-3 quid!!
superdrug's stuff is all quite good and cheap...miss sporty is amazingly cheap and i love the waterproof mascara!
if you look hard enough you can get practically everything good and cheap atm! x
I also love Collection 2000 stuff. Plain old vaseline and Nivea are also great bargains. Dove soap is great too!
collection 2000 liquid eye liner
Avon make up is great and so cheap and you always get good deals, like 2 for 拢5, or buy one get one free of anything on the page. So you end up getting far more for your money.
mine are all the face masks i think they are a bargain i always get loads of them an after a nice soak in the bath put one on they make your skin feel so soft .you can get them from boots an super drugs .

Would like to open a shop....dealing with natural beauty products?
i've got the capital....
1. how do i start?
2. do i need to take a course?
need help regarding what service i can provide there....Would like to open a shop....dealing with natural beauty products?
You don't need a course, but it will help. However there's a lot of good books on the topic, so check out your local bookstore and they should have a big section on it. Read some a bit, see which book best suits your reading tastes, buy it, read it.
It should work you through how to refine your idea, and all the different aspects of business, along with helping you make a business plan, which you'll need to boost your chances of success because it at least makes you plan every detail, which is handy during times that you feel out of control.
As for services to offer, my advice is to know your target market. You offer natural beauty products, well is that for men or women? What is their income bracket? Where are they located? What kind of work do they do?
Once you know your target market you can start putting together what you can offer. So if it's men, with high paying jobs, work downtown but live in suburbia, and so forth, you could then say that high paying jobs means high stress, so they'll need stress busting treatments or services. You could situate it where they work, and offer treatments that would be available at lunch time, maybe offering snacks to go with it, or you could situate it closer to the suburbs, but your market would change geographically. Also since they're men you can narrow it down, men don't want frills, they want services and a bang for their buck. They may need to relax, but not in the same way as women.
Anyways that's an example, point is you need to figure out your market, then you can figure out what you can offer that market, and where you can be located, and so forth.
Don't just go into business without knowing this stuff, it is very important for success.Would like to open a shop....dealing with natural beauty products?
First off you should use and enjoy the products yourself - you need to sell something you can be open and honest about and shows results -
The company you buy from should offer good information on the items - test on animals what does it contain and why is this a good product for such a thing (sun damage, anti aging)
Knowing the products - is key and enjoying them yourself.
Before you start a business you should have a thorough knowledge of your products and also more than that how you plan to market it. What is the demand of the products etc.
You can also go online and sell globally if your products are good. You can go to http://www.theexpomart.com and get your online shopping site for free without any investment.
1. You start by understanding your products and your market.
2. If you do not understand herbs and natural beauty therapies instinctively, i will recommend a course first.
3. Also take a course on biz fundamentals so you can take care of the Finance, Marketing and staff management side without overtly depending on people.
I endorse products for a wholesale heatlh/wellness site. I am a mom of 2 and love this opportunity, I simply started out because I just wanted to buy the products, they are nontoxic and safe for my family to be around(my 4yr old recently cleaned up a blue ink spot on white carpet, by herself....that's how safe these products are) and I love the products so much I wanted to start endorsing the products and getting paid by the company to do so.
If you'd like more inforamtion please feel free to click my avatar and email. I would love to see if this is the right opportunity for you.
Good luck and hope you find what your looking for!!!
