Honey and egg make a moisturizing, nourishing and tightening facial mask. Add a few drops of essential oil and you've got a real treat in store. For oily skin, use just the egg white. For dry skin, just use the egg yolk. Use the whole egg on normal skin types. Here is an easy recipe for a honey/egg facial mask to help shrink pores on the face and neck, while also smoothing and brightening the skin.

Ingredients

Honey

Egg

Apple cider vinegar

Lemon essential oil

Lavender or bergamot essential oil

1 Beat the egg yolk or egg white in a small bowl. If you want both the tightening and moisturizing effect, beat the whole egg until it is well combined but not frothy. Hand beating is better than using a mixer or egg-beater. Add 1 tsp. honey and 1/4 tsp. of vinegar. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

2 Add one drop of lavender essential oil to the mixture for dry skin, one drop of bergamot essential oil for normal to oily skin. Combine well with the egg-honey mixture, making sure the oil is incorporated.

3 Apply to cleansed face and neck. Leave the facial on for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing with warm waterHomemade Beauty Products?
There are a couple of websites that have recipes for homemade beauty products. Here's a favorite of mine:

Honey Citrus Lip Gloss

7-8 tsp. sweet almond oil

2 tsp. beeswax

1 Vitamin E capsule

1 tsp. honey

5 drops citrus flavoring or essential oil (we like lime)

Microwave-safe container with lid

Cosmetic / balm container with lid

Melt the sweet almond oil and beeswax together in the microwave safe container for 1-2 minutes. Remove the mixture from the microwave, and pierce the vitamin E capsule with a pin or tip fo a knife, and squirt into mixture. Whisk the contents of the VitE capsure, honey, and flavoring, into the oil mixture, continuing to whisk until set. Spoon your new lip gloss into a small, balm container with tight lid.
